Key West Theater
Nestled in the heart of Old Town, the Key West Theater is a vibrant hub for the performing arts community. Originally established in 1848 as the 1st Baptist Church of Key West, this historic building has played many roles, including a church, dance club, and concert venue, before its transformation into a state-of-the-art performing arts center. The newly renovated venue hosts the Key West Theater & Community Stage, Rams Head Promotions, Grateful Guitar, Back Stage Listening Room, and the Key West Theater Recording Studio. It is renowned for offering top-tier music, concerts, comedy, and variety specials, along with locally produced Key West events.
At the Key West Theater, you can experience intimate performances from iconic artists such as Jimmy Buffett and Kenny Chesney, either in the Main Stage Theater or the Back Stage Listening Room. The theater’s commitment to the arts is evident as it strives to engage, inspire, and unite the community by making performing arts relevant to all. The Key West Theater continues to be a cornerstone of cultural enrichment in the area, providing a space where creativity and community flourish together.
